FRANCIS E. RHODES

Lt. Commander U.S.N. (Ret.) Francis E. Rhodes, died Sunday, Oct. 9, 1994, at his residence.

A native of Norfolk, he earned a bachelor's degree in economics from The College of William and Mary. Mr. Rhodes had a distinguished military career in the United States Navy as a veteran of World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his wife, Beverley M. Rhodes; a daughter, Theresa M. Rhodes; a son, Norman E. Rhodes, all of Norfolk; his mother, Rosa Mae Rhodes of Norfolk; and two sisters, Mildred E. Shealy of Chesapeake and Jean A. Grief of Norfolk.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, 1994, in Arlington National Cemetery with full military honors.

West Chapel of the Bennett Funeral Home, 11020 W. Broad St., Richmond, is in charge of arrangements.
