JUPITER ROBERTS JR.

Jupiter Roberts Jr. of the 2400 block of Virginia Beach Blvd. died Oct. 10, 1994, in a local hospital.

Mr. Roberts was born in Norfolk and was a retired distributor with H.B. Hunter Co. He was a member of Mount Lebanon Baptist Church Bells Mill, Chesapeake.

Survivors include his wife, Carrie Lee Roberts; eight daughters, Elvira Parker, Rosa L. Hodges, Carrie Roberts Early, Lorene Judge, Novada Roberts, all of Norfolk, Evelyn Carter, Ruby L. Sawyer of Richmond and Pamela R. Joyner of Virginia Beach; three sons, Seymore Roberts, Jupiter Roberts III of Craigsville, Va., and David Lee Roberts of Chesapeake; two sisters, Nancy Fennell and Bessie Ricks of Chesapeake; two brothers, Roland Roberts and Debree Roberts of Chesapeake; 16 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Mount Lebanon Baptist Church, Bells Mill, by the Rev. Kim Brown. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Bells Mill. Chatman Funeral Home, Norfolk, is handling arrangements. ILLUSTRATION: Personal Photo
