EVANS L. ECCLES

Evans Louis Eccles of the 900 block of Oldwood St., died Oct. 9, 1994, in Veterans Administration Hospital, Richmond.

Mr. Eccles was born in Clemons, N.C., where he was a member of Church of Christ. He retired from the U.S. Army after 20 years and was a veteran of Vietnam and recipient of the Bronze Star.

Survivors include his wife, Eiko Eccles; and two brothers, Frank E. Eccles and R. Bruce Eccles of Chesapeake.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Fitchett Funeral Home by the Rev. J.W. Watherington. Burial will be in Hampton National Cemetery. A wake will be held at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
