ROBERT G. TILTON

Robert G. Tilton, 56, of the 100 block of York Drive, an equipment operator, died Oct. 12, 1994, in Portsmouth.

Mr. Tilton was born in Johnson County, N.C. He attended Chesapeake Church of God and served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Cradock Chapter of the Disabled American Veterans.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Shelva L. Tilton of Portsmouth; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Brewer of Chesapeake; two sons, Allen Herndon of Lafayette, Ga. and Phillip Reardon of Manteo, N.C.; his mother, Mrs. Mary T. Larsen; two sisters, Ruby T. Harris of Chesapeake and Hazel G. Westbrook of New Bern, N.C.; seven grandchildren; and friends, Thomas Sprinkle of Chesapeake, Tori Lee of Portsmouth and Keiffer Beach and Luke Hinkle, both of Chesapeake.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Jack Sawyer and the Rev. Talmadge McGuire. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8 p.m. and at 2430 Brookshire Drive, the home of his daughter at all other times.
