Meta Elizabeth Carroll, 83, of the 300 block of Kemp Lane died Wednesday in a Chesapeake hospital.
Mrs. Carroll was born in Old Princess Anne County and was the daughter of the late George and Betty Ginn Tyndall. She was the widow of Cecil John Carroll Sr. Mrs. Carroll was a member of Parkway Temple.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Dr. C.J. and Verna Carroll of Chesapeake; three grandchildren and their wives, C.J. Carroll III and Lyn of Reston, Va., Stephen B. Carroll and Susan of Norfolk, and Christopher L. Carroll and Valerie of Chesapeake; and five great-grandchildren, Kelly, Joshua, Ashley, Colin, and Kevin.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Oman Funeral Home by the Rev. Ernest Trueblood. Burial will follow in Rosewood Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkway Temple Land Fund.
