JAMES E. LASSITER

James Edward ``Jimmy'' Lassiter, 90, of the 100 block of Hobbs Acre Drive, a retired auto mechanic, died Oct. 13, 1994.

Mr. Lassiter was born in Chowan County, N.C., and was formerly of the 2300 block of Bugle Drive East, Chesapeake. He was retired from Beale Chevrolet. He was the widower of Annie Mae Lassiter and was predeceased by his parents, Alice Lange Lassiter and Jim S. Lassiter. He was a member of the Baptist church.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, William E. ``Bill'' and Maggie Lassiter of Edenton; a sister, Bertie Harris of Portsmouth; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday in Beaver Hill Cemetery, Edneton, by the Rev. Donald Sawyer. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday in Williford-Barham Funeral Home, and other times at the residence of Bill and Maggie Lassiter.
