LELA MAE WINSLOW

Lela Mae Cartwright Winslow, 79, of Box 267 Williams St., died Wednesday morning, Oct. 19, 1994, in her home.

A native of Perquimans County, she was the daughter of the late William Henry Cartwright and Elizabeth Harrell Cartwright. She was a member of Hertford United Methodist Church, Order of the Eastern Star, Elizabeth City Chapter, and the Perquimans Quilters Club.

Survivors include her husband, Harry Walton Winslow Sr.; a son, Harry Walton Winslow Jr. of Hertford; two sisters, Blanche Olsen of Dallas and Maude Hayden of Modesta, Calif.; and two grandchildren, Todd Winslow of Elizabeth City and Scott Winslow of Raleigh.

A funeral will be conducted at 2p.m. Friday in Swindell Funeral Home with the Rev. Jon Strother officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Wood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hertford United Methodist Church, 207 W. Market St., Hertford, N.C. 27944, or the Perquimans County Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 191, Hertford, N.C. 27944.
