DAISY O. GRIFFIN

Daisy Otelia Griffin, 95, of the 1200 block of Darren Drive died Nov. 6, 1994, in her home.

Mrs. Griffin was born in Norfolk County. She was a retired self-employed beautician after more than 70 years, a member of New Hope Baptist Church, the choir, the Matron Club and other auxiliaries of the church and a former missionary. She was past worthy matron of Venus Chapter (NU)6, Order of Eastern Star and Chaplain of B.M. Joyner (NU)324 Tents. She was the widow of Peter J. Griffin.

Survivors include two foster daughters, Sheryl Stancil of Georgia and Louise Gregory of Portsmouth; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, all of Baltimore, Md.; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews, great-great-great-nieces and nephews, and cousins.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at New Hope Baptist Church, Chesapeake, by the Rev. Sidney Foster. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home will begin at noon Friday. The body will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Saturday.
