Harold Mullen Sr., 57, of the 100 block of Carol Lane died Nov. 18, 1994.
Mr. Mullen was born in Elizabeth City, N.C. He retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years and Norfolk Naval Shipyard after 14 years, was a member of Holy Trinity Church (NU)1, assistant chairman of the deacon board, chairman of the usher board and former member of the board of directors of the Navy Yard Credit Union.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley V. Mullen; four daughters, Sabrina Ford, Darl Yancey, Linda Stewart and Sharon Shaheen; a son, Harold Mullen Jr.; his mother, Velma R. Mullen; two sisters, Constine Mann and Gladys Taylor; a brother, Arvin Mullen; and 14 grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at Holy Trinity Church (NU)1, Portsmouth, by Elder James Dixon. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Fisher Funeral Home is handling arrangements. The body will be in the church at noon. The family will be at the residence.
