Steven W. Carter, formerly of Cradock, died Nov. 21, 1994 in Lawrenceville.
He spent his lifetime teaching music throughout the southern states. He was known as the Music Man by many. He retired and settled with his wife in South Hill, Va.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Carter; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be Friday at 11 a.m. in Pleasant Grove Church. James and Lowe Funeral Home, Wrens, Ga., is in charge.
