MARVIN T. HURLEY

Marvin T. ``Marv'' Hurley, 60, a resident of the 1100 block of Bedford Ave., passed away due to an extended bout with cancer Monday evening, Nov. 21, 1994 at the family homeplace at Elk City, Philippi, of James B. Talbott, his friend and companion for 28 years.

He was born May 11, 1934 at Lake Charles, La., a son of the late Ivan M. and Edith Langley Hurley.

Surviving are one brother, Monte Hurley of Lake Charles, La.; longtime friend, James B. Talbott of Norfolk; and a large host of other friends.

He retired as a senior eligibility worker from the Chesapeake, Va. Department of Social Services.

Friends will be received at Wright Funeral Home, 216 N. Walnut St., Philippi, W.Va., from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mount Olive Cemetery in Philippi with the Rev. Craig Michel officiating. A memorial service will be held at Cox Funeral Home, Norfolk, Va., at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to People's Hospice Inc., P.O. Box 382, Clarksburg, W.Va. 26302, or to the Tidewater (Norfolk) Virginia SPCA or Tidewater Animal Assistance League. Wright Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
