George Washington Ruffin Jr., 72, of the 1100 block of Oxwens Road, a retired horse trainer, died Nov. 18, 1994, in Miami.
Mr. Ruffin was born in Suffolk, Va., son of the late Grace and George W. Ruffin Sr. He retired seven years ago from Laurel Race Track after 25 years of service.
Survivors include a son, Dalton Ruffin of Columbia, Md.; five sisters, Grace Ruffin of Suffolk, Helen Finiel of Brooklyn, N.Y., Mary Ruffin and Hazel Trainer of New York City and Carrie Davis of Norfolk.; and a grandchild, Dalton Ruffin Jr.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in T.E. Cooke-Twilight Funeral Home, Suffolk, by the Rev. Isaac E. William. Burial will be in the Ruffin Family Cemetery, Suffolk.
