LUTHER MASTERS

Luther Daniel ``L.D.'' Masters, 86 of the 1300 block of Towanda Court, died Nov. 25, 1994, in his home.

``L.D.'' was a retired pharmacist and was the co-owner of Masters Pharmacy in Norfolk. He was born in St. Clair, Ala., and was the widower of Sally Ann Dawson Masters. He was a member of Elizabeth River Baptist Church as well as the Corinthian Masonic Lodge (NU)266.

Survivors include a son, Lea D. Masters of Coeburn, Va.; three grandchildren, Doni Lea Riley of Chesapeake, Sgt. Lea D. Masters II, U.S. Army, of Fort Stuart, Ga., and Kari Lynn Mellenkamp of Virginia Beach; two great-grandchildren, Matthew N. Riley and Kristopher Masters; and his beloved dog, Ruff-Ruff.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Elizabeth River Baptist Church by the Rev. Frank Howlett. Burial with masonic rites will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will be at Cox Funeral home today from 7 to 8 p.m. for visitation.
