CORA L. BELL

Cora Lee Bell of the 100 block of Welch Road, died Dec. 10, 1994, in her residence.

Mrs. Bell was born in Edenton, N.C., and was the widow of Nathan Bell. She was a member of Little Zion Baptist Church, Chesapeake, and the Senior Usher Board.

Survivors include three daughters, Mildred B. Abney, Josephine Neal and Shirley Holley; a son, Willie N. Bell; four sisters, Mattie West, Eleanor Corprew, Gertrude Smith, Johnetta O'Neal; and two brothers, William Blanchard and Charlie Blanchard, all of Chesapeake; 20 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; a special friend, Mrs. Elizabeth Taylor; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in Little Zion Baptist Church by the Rev. S.D. Shepherd. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The body will be placed in church at 11 a.m. Thursday. Family and friends will assemble at 121 Welch Road, Chesapeake, at noon Thursday for the processional to church. Metropolitan Funeral Service, Norfolk, is handling arrangements.
