Mildred L. Pierce Whitley, 72, of the 100 block of Royal Oak Court, a retired salesperson, died Dec. 14, 1994, in her residence.
Mrs. Whitley was born in South Norfolk and was a member of South Norfolk Congregational Christian Church, Chesapeake. She retired in 1980 from Stanley Home Products and Flairs, Inc., after 15 years.
Survivors include her husband, Paul L. Whitley Sr.; a daughter, Pamela W. Ferrell of Chesapeake; three sons, Paul L. Whitley Jr. of Chesapeake, Wayne Whitley of Wheelersburg, Ohio, and Michael Whitley of Virginia Beach; a brother, Bennie Pierce Jr. of Windsor, Va.; and four grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Riverside Memorial Park, Norfolk, by the Rev. Ernest L. Trueblood. The family will be at Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
