ELISE G. RITSCH

Elise Goode Ritsch of Richmond and formerly of Portsmouth, died Wednesday, Dec. 14, 1994.

She was born in Chase City, Va., and was the widow of Malcolm Evans Ritsch. She was a retired mathematics teacher in the Portsmouth School System and was a graduate of Randolph-Macon Woman's College. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Portsmouth; past treasurer of the Portsmouth Historical Society; and a member of the Students Club of Portsmouth.

Survivors include a son, Malcolm Evans Ritsch Jr.; a daughter, Mary Ritsch Chase; and four grandchildren, Massie Evans Ritsch, Ellen Watkins Ritsch, James Clarke Chase Jr., and Sarah Massie Chase, all of Richmond.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Richmond. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Woodland Cemetery, Chase City, Va. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Randolph-Macon Woman's College.
