George Thomas Mitchell, 69, of the 100 block of E. Ocean View Ave., died Dec. 14, 1994, in Norfolk.
Mr. Mitchell was born in Norfolk. He was a self-employed antique dealer, former Norfolk city police officer and a member of Berkley Masonic Lodge No. 167.
Survivors include his wife, Opal G. Mitchell; two daughters, Sharron Warrenn of Lansdale, Pa., and Cathy Karnezis of Norfolk; a brother, James S. Mitchell of Norfolk; five grandchildren, Kimberly Linden, Rodney Lang, Nicholas Karnezis, Anthony Karnezis and Eric Karnezis; and two great-grandchildren, Brianna Ridsdale and Emily Nichole Linden.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. A. Kenneth Carlton, Jr. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
