Ruth Morgan Thrasher, 11, of the 1500 block of Leaview Ave., a student at Granby Elementary School, died Dec. 15, 1994, in her home.
A native of Norfolk, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Dr. William L. Taliaferro.
Survivors include her mother, Martha Taliaferro Thrasher and her father, Dr. Patrick D. Thrasher of Norfolk; two brothers, William T. Thrasher and Robert D. Thrasher, both of Norfolk; her maternal grandmother, Kathleen Doyle Taliaferro of Norfolk; her paternal grandparents, Dr. Robert H. and Mrs. Mary Wright Thrasher of Norfolk; and her aunts and uncles, William L. Taliaferro Jr., Clarke P. and Linda G. Thrasher, Mary Ann Wentzel, Nina Taliaferro, Melissa M. Thrasher and Allen W. Thrasher; and many first cousins.
A church service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday in Royster Memorial Presbyterian Church by the Rev. John R. Monroe, Dr. Lewis Morgan and the Rev. Evelyn Keever. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Department of Hematology/Oncology of Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters, 601 Childrens Lane, Norfolk, Va. 23507.
