Robert Erle Davis Sr., 86, of the 8000 block of Galveston Blvd., died Dec. 21, 1994, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mr. Davis was born in Birmingham, Ala., and was retired as the owner of Suburban Realty Co. of Norfolk and was also retired from Pennsylvania Railroad after 40 years. He was a member of First Lutheran Church, the Corinthian Masonic Lodge (NU)266, Grice Commandery and Khedive Shrine Temple.
Survivors include his wife, Lala C. Davis; two sons, Robert E. Davis Jr. and William C. Davis, both of Virginia Beach; three granddaughters, Debra Davis and Lynn Vass, both of Virginia Beach, and Sheri Dorsey of Norfolk; and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 26, 1994, in First Lutheran Church, Norfolk, by Dr. James G. Cobb and Rev. Marshall F. Mauney. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today and other times at the residence. Masonic rites will be accorded in the funeral home at 7 p.m. today by Corinthian Masonic Lodge (NU)266. Donations may be made to the building fund of First Lutheran Church, 1301 Colley Ave., Norfolk.
