Margaret Virginia Rawls, 77, of the 8200 block of Canterbury Crest Lane, died Dec. 27, 1994, in her home.
She was a native of Petersburg, Va., and was married to John G. Rawls. She was Baptist.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Hattie C. Dodge of Portsmouth and Susan R. Estes of Suffolk; five sons, Johnny Rawls and Joseph Rawls, both of Portsmouth, Edward Rawls, Jerry Rawls, and Richard Rawls, all of Suffolk; one sister, Thelma Bland of Norfolk; one brother, Joseph Kennedy of Portsmouth; 23 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Bennetts Creek Chapel, by the Rev. Wilfong Clarke and the Rev. Dick Browder. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
