SAINT THOMAS WYNN

Saint Thomas Wynn, 78, of the 3200 block of Downes St., a retired ordnanceman, died Dec. 28, 1994, in Maryview Medical Center.

Mr. Wynn was born in Cofield, N.C., and was retired from the Naval Ammunition Depot after 37 years. He was a member and deacon of Philippi Baptist Church, Cofield, and was a former member and deacon of St. Mark Baptist Church, Portsmouth. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Mollie Y. Wynn; two daughters, Annie M. Wynn of Portsmouth and Marilyn Y. White of Sugar Land, Texas; two sons, Larry T. Wynn of Drumhill, N.C., and Ronald L. Wynn of Portsmouth; five sisters, Julia Jernigan of Portsmouth, Queenie Wynn of Los Angeles, Thelma Watson of Harrellsville, N.C., and Beulah Smith and Janice Terry, both of Cofield; two brothers, James Wynn of Portsmouth and Isikiah Wynn of Baltimore; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one daughter-in-law; one son-in-law; and a host of relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in Philippi Baptist Church, Cofield, by the Rev. Elton Hall Jr. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Viewing will begin at noon today in Corprew Funeral Home. Family and friends will assemble at the residence at 10 a.m. Saturday for the procession to the church for the funeral service.
