PEARL F. GODSEY

Pearl F. Godsey, 71, of the 1100 block of Holt St. and formerly of the 2400 block of Liberia Drive, a retired cashier clerk, died Dec. 28, 1994, in her residence.

Mrs. Godsey was born in Princess Anne County. She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Hannah Knight Foreman and was the widow of Belford T. Godsey. She was retired from Soroko Market after 32 years. She was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Female Usher Board (NU)3, Order of the Eastern Star Chapter and president of the Civic League of Robert Village.

Survivors include two sons, James W. Godsey and Barry Cowell, both of Norfolk; two sisters, Gracie Foreman and Marie F. Hurdle, both of Norfolk; three brothers, George Foreman, Arthur Foreman Jr. and Walter Foreman, all of Norfolk; four grandchildren, Kim Godsey of Maryland, Glenda Godsey of Virginia Beach, Michael Godsey and Roslyn Godsey, both of Norfolk; seven great-granchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Barbara A. Godsey of Norfolk.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Antioch Missionary Baptist Church by the Rev. I. Joseph Williams. Burial will be in Jones Memorial Park. A wake will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Sunday in Hale Funeral Home. The family will assemble at her son's home, 2832 Davis St. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
