THOMAS R. KIMBALL

Thomas R. ``Tom'' Kimball, 64, formerly of Bridgeport and Grafton, died at 11:50 p.m. Dec. 29, 1994, in the Highlands Regional Medical Center in Sebring, Fla., following a brief illness.

He was born Dec. 30, 1929, at Lumberport, a son of Lulu Ice Kimball of Meadowbrook and the late Martin S. Kimball. Mr. Kimball was a retired United States Marine Veteran with 27 years of service, during which he served in both the Vietnam and Korean Wars. He was an avid golfer and fisherman.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sara Ann Ervin Kimball. Surviving are his second wife, Colleen Moore Kimball; two sons, Samuel James E. Kimball and Thomas Riley Kimball, Jr. both of Virginia Beach; two daughters, Joyce Madison Otten of Kingwood, Texas, and Kathryn Dark, of Tullahoma, Tenn.; two step-sons, James Burpo of Arlington and John Burpo of Virginia Beach; nine grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Robert (Moreth) McCann of Bridgeport, and one brother, Samuel Lee Kimball of Fresno, Ohio. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Reason Jackson Kimball.

Friends may call at the Dorsey Funeral Home in Shinnston from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday. Interment will follow in the West Virginia National Cemetery, where full military graveside rites will be conducted.
