NORMAN B. COOPER

Norman B. Cooper, 77, of the first block of Cavalier Blvd., died Jan. 1, 1995, in Maryview Medical Center.

Mr. Cooper was born in Henderson, N.C., and was retired from the Norfolk Naval Supply Center after 43 years. He was a Shriner and a member of Third Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Essie G. Cooper; a stepdaughter, Jane Tucker of Norfolk; a son, Johnnie Cooper of Newark, N.J.; two stepsons, A. Jay Nolen and Salomon V. Lopez, both of Portsmouth; four sisters, Mattie Taylor and Mary Lee Michell, both of Henderson, Patricia Treadwell of Stamford, Conn., and Eva Brame of New Jersey; and a brother, Carl Cooper of Baltimore.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Friday in Third Baptist Church by the Rev. Joe B. Fleming. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday in Rogers Funeral Home. The body will be placed in church at 11 a.m. Friday.
