JOHN PAUL FRANKOSKI

John Paul Frankoski, 60, of Five Point Road, went to be with our Lord on Thursday, Jan. 5, 1995.

He was the beloved husband of Barbara Frankoski and father of Geraldine Frankoski, and cherished friend to many.

Mr. Frankoski was a native of Suffern, N.Y., and a graduate of Manhattan College. He began his 32-year career in government service as an officer in the U.S. Navy. He was retired as a captain in the U.S. Naval Reserves, and as a civilian employee of the Fleet Combat Direction Systems Suport Activity, Dam Neck, Va.

Following his retirement, Mr. Frankoski earned a master's degree in education from Old Dominion University and taught at Catholic High School. Mr. Frankoski was a founding member of the Church of the Holy Family.

Among those celebrating his life are his wife, Barbara Geraldine Frankoski; his daughter, Geraldine Lee Frankoski; his son-in-law, Erik Maskelony; his parents, John and Sophie Frankoski; his brother, Joseph Frankoski, and sister-in-law, Chiharu Frankoski.

A viewing will be held in the chapel at the Church of the Holy Family, Virginia Beach, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8. A Mass of the Resurrection will follow at 7 p.m. A Mass and burial will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10. Funeral arrangements are being handled by H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Catholic High School, Virginia Beach, or the St. Jude Cancer Research Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, Tenn. 38101.
