In the presence of friends spiritually and physically, Lily Mapstone made the transition Seventh Day, First Month 28, 1995 at Virginia Beach General Hospital.
The daughter of William Wilson and Mary Wilson, Lily was born in the District of Coylton, the County of Ayr in Ireland Seventh Month 18, 1915. Her husband, Robert Lee Mapstone, US Army Retired, predeceased Lily. Lily, a draftsperson skilled in watch repair, was retired as the manager of Things Unlimited. A member of the Religious Society of Friends, Lily is an acknowledged Elder of Virginia Beach Friends Meeting, North Carolina Yearly Meeting Conservative.
She is survived by those she loved and the many who loved her.
A memorial service will be held at the Virginia Beach Friends Meeting House, 1537 Laskin Road, Virginia Beach, at 1:30 p.m. on Third Day, Tuesday, First Month 31, 1995. Lily's estate has been given to the Friends Meeting Sufferings Account for use in helping others. Friends wishing to join Lily in the care of others may do so in her name through Virginia Beach Friends Meeting. Arrangements by Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road Chapel.
