Alfonzo C. Smith Sr., 45, of the 1100 block of Freedom Ave., died Feb. 9, 1995, in Maryview Hospital.
Mr. Smith was retired from the city of Portsmouth after 22 years.
Survivors include his wife, Velma M. Smith; a daughter, Theresa Smith; a son, Alfonzo C. Smith Jr.; his mother, Sallie Smith; two sisters, Barbara Jean Smith and Clara Fulture; and two brothers, Robert L. Smith Sr. and George Smith.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church by the Rev. W.S. Hampton. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery. Fisher Funeral Home is handling arrangements. The family will be at 550 Madison St., Apt. B and will assemble there for the processional.
