ALFRED JOHNNY DUNCAN

Alfred Johnny Duncan, 78, of Christiansburg, died Saturday morning Feb. 25, 1995 at the Meadowbrook Nursing Home in Shawsville, Va.

Born Nov. 11, 1916, he was the son of the late Enoch J. Duncan and Leona Alley Duncan. He was a retired steel smelter for Burkley Machine Works.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby Wurzburger Duncan; one son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Gwenda Dobbins Duncan of Richmond; two brothers, Edgar Duncan of Riner and Marlie Duncan of Upperco, Md.; two sisters, Esther Griffith of Christiansburg and Margie Delaney of Alum Ridge.

Funeral Services were held Monday, Feb. 27, 1995 at 3 p.m. from the DeVilbiss Funeral Chapel with Kenneth Wurzburger officiating.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of a donation to White Rock Brethren Church or the Christiansburg Rescue Squad. DeVilbiss Funeral Home in Radford is in charge of arrangements.
