BESSIE YANKELOVE

Bessie Yankelove, 86, of the 6400 block of Auburn Drive, died March 1, 1995, in her residence.

Miss Yankelove, a native of Baltimore, was a resident of Tidewater for most of her life. She was formerly employed during the 1940s and 1950s with her family's business, Frank Grocery in Portsmouth. She was a former member of Temple Israel and its Sisterhood and the Jewish Community Center, Golden Age Club.

Survivors include a sister, Jean Y. Alperin of Norfolk; a brother, Alexander Yankelove of Baltimore; six nieces and nephews; 13 great-nieces and great-nephews; and six great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

Miss Yankelove was sent from H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, to the Sol Levinson Funeral Home in Baltimore, Md., for funeral services and interment. A memorial service will be held Monday at 4 p.m. in Beth Sholom Home.
