ANNIE L. WHITE

Annie L. White, 92, of the 300 block of W. 27th St., died Feb. 28, 1995, in a local hospital.

She was born in Norfolk County and retired as a cook from Mason's Seafood Restaurant after 30 years. She was a member of Bank Street Memorial Church, Lydia Tent (NU)1 and Royal Degree Chambers.

Survivors include two daughters, Annie L. Thorgood and Shirley E. White, both of Norfolk; two sons, Samuel E. White of Chesapeake and Rutherford H. Roane of Leeds, England; 37 grandchildren; 70 great-grandchildren; 21 great-great-grandchildren; and three daughters-in-law, Gladys White, Shirley White, both of Norfolk, and Linda Roane of Leeds, England; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frances and Joseph Smith and two sons, William A. Smith and Leroy T. White.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Bank Street Memorial Baptist Church by the Rev. Cedric Kirkland-Harris. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. Family and friends will assemble at Metropolitan Funeral Service from 7 to 8 p.m. today and will assemble at 305 W. 27th St., Norfolk, at 10 a.m. Friday for the processional to the church. The body will be placed in church at 9:30 a.m.
