Alfred Howard Anderson, 76, of the 1200 block of Noble St., a retired merchant seaman, died March 9, 1995, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mr. Anderson was born in Norfolk and was a member of the Seafarers International Union of North America.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Anderson; a daughter, Barbara Myers of Atlanta; two sons, Alfred H. Anderson Jr. of Marietta, Ga. and Elwood C. Anderson of Woodbridge, Va.; a sister, Beverly Gleischman of Virginia Beach; and six grandchildren.
A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. today in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements.
