GRATEFUL FOR TOYS FOR TOTS

Thanks to the citizens, businesses and community organizations of Hampton Roads for their generous support of the 1994 Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program.

For the past 47 years, Marine reservists, and active-duty Marines assigned to reserve sites, have conducted Toys for Tots campaigns to provide deserving children with toys at Christmas. During the 1994 holiday season, toy collections and individual donations provided more than 21,000 needy Hampton Roads children with a little brighter Christmas.

This program would not be possible without the support and generosity of the local community. Individual donations amounting to more than $15,000 were used to purchase and provide ``local toys for local children.'' This program is and will continue to be a team effort between the Marine Corps Reserve and the local community.

Groups and individuals interested in more information about getting involved in their community Toys for Tots program should contact the nearest Marine Corps Reserve facility.
