David Kenneth ``Dave'' Ganz, 45, died Mar. 16, 1995.
He was employed as a Government Contractor and was born in St. Cloud, Minn. He had been a resident of the Norfolk/Virginia Beach area since 1973. He had served in the Navy for 6 years.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca ``Becky'' Ganz; one daughter and son-in-law, Leslie Ann and Stephen J. Goyette of Cape May, N.J.; a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald Edward and Melanie L. Ganz of Virginia Beach, and son, Jon David Ganz, also of Virginia Beach; two granddaughters, Kaitlin Nicole and Kendul Charlene Goyette, both of Cape May, N.J.; four sisters, Kathy Monarski, Margaret Putnam, and Mary Ganz, all of Minnesota, and Joy Fish of Tacoma, Wash.; two brothers, Lyman and Gary Ganz, both of Minnesota. He is predeceased by his parents, Albert John and Florence M. Ganz.
He was a loving husband, the best father, and a wonderful grandfather. He was an avid fisherman, who loved nature and enjoyed being an outdoorsman. He liked all sports.
A graveside service will be conducted at noon Thursday in Woodlawn Memorial Park by Father Thomas Caroluzza. The family will receive friends at Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road Chapel, from 6 to 8 p.m. today Friends may call at the funeral home any time during the day of the visitation.
