Julia M. Daniel, 78, of the 100 block of Quarter Trail, Newport News, and formerly of Norfolk, died March 23, 1995, in a Virginia Beach nursing center.
Mrs. Daniel was born in Princess Anne County and was the widow of Joseph R. Daniel Jr. She was a registered nurse and had retired from DePaul Hospital. She was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Ann Daniel of Hilton Head, S.C.; a son, Joseph R. Daniel III of Newport News; two grandchildren, Terry Gates and Christopher Daniel; and two great-grandchildren, Alexandria and Kimberly Gates.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Kellum Funeral Home, Pleasant Hall, Kempsville Chapel, from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
