WILLIAM J. WILKINS SR.

William J. Wilkins Sr., of the 900 block of Westgate Court, a retired stevedore, died April 19, 1995.

A native of Bethel, N.C., Mr. Wilkins was a member of First Baptist Church South Hill in Chesapeake and was the widower of Ernestine D. Wilkins. He was retired from the Naval Supply Center after 35 years of service.

Survivors include three daughters, Agnes W. Clark, Jacqueline W. Green and Shevelle Wilkins; a son, William J. Wilkins Jr.; and a sister, Mary Dual, all of Chesapeake; a brother, Walter Wilkins of New York; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in First Baptist Church South Hill by the Rev. Michael R. Toliver. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Gardens, Virginia Beach. Viewing will be today from 2 to 8 p.m. at Pretlow''s Funeral Home and Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon at the church. Family and friends will assemble at 900 Westgate Court, Chesapeake, at 11:15 a.m. for the processional to the church. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
