Harold Dean Plemmons, 78, died April 24, 1995, in his residence.
He was born in South Carolina and had been self-employed until he retired. He was a member of Kings Grant Baptist Church; Khedive Temple of the Shrine; George W. Wright Masonic Lodge (NU)346 AF & AM; Norfolk Scottish Rite; and Virginia Beach Shrine Club.
Survivors include his wife, Mabel Spencer Plemmons; a daughter, Becky Ralph of Mount Rainier, Md.; a son, Michael D. Plemmons of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Grace Shirah of Covington, Ga., and Gladys Campbell of Winter Park, Fla.; and three granddaughters, Renee D. Plemmons, Carey L. Plemmons and Olivia Koenig.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in Kings Grant Baptist Church by the Rev. Jerry Holcomb. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Kings Grant Baptist Church, 873 Little Neck Road, Virginia Beach, Va. 23452, or Hospice Volunteer, 463 Haygood Road, Suite 211, Virginia Beach, Va. 23455.
