WALTER GOULD

Elder Walter Gould, 82, of the 3600 block of Bosun Drive, died May 1, 1995.

He was a native of Norfolk County and was a retired pastor, minister and member of Mt. Lebanon Church of God in Christ, Suffolk. He served with the church for 20 years. He was the widower of Elaine E. Gould, and founded the Pughsville Mission on Town Point Road, Suffolk.

Survivors include three daughters, Evelyn D. Mitchell of Chesapeake, Gwennell Gould of Windsor, and Jessie Mae Lindsey of Virginia Beach; four sons, Kelvin Gould of Newport News, Melvin L. Gould of Virginia Beach, Walter Gould Jr. of Spring Valley, N.Y., and Lorenzo Skinner of Lawrenceville, Va.; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of stepchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.

The funeral will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Saturday in Mt. Lebanon Church of God in Christ, 1732 Mt. Lebanon Ave., Suffolk, Hobson Section, by the Pastor Larry L. Gray Sr. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be at Corprew Funeral Home at 10 a.m. Friday. The body will be taken to the church at 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
