MAGGIE L. RHOTON

Maggie Lee ``Margie'' Rhoton, 74, of the 1000 block of Cherokee Road, died Sunday in a Norfolk hospital.

Mrs. Rhoton was the widow of Robert H. Rhoton. She was a member of Big Cut Baptist Church, Gate City, Va., and attended Corner Stone Community Church, Portsmouth.

Survivors include two daughters, Virginia C. Smiley of Hendersonville, Tenn., and Judy Morse of Portsmouth; dear friends, Peggy and Sally Vaughan of Portsmouth; three sisters, Myrtle Wallen of Gate City, Va., Marie Jenkins of Front Royal, Va. and Maude Peters of Kingsport, Tenn.; three brothers, Everette Arnold, Ralph Arnold and James Calhoun, all of Gate City, Va.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Boulevard Chapel, by the Rev. Larry W. Blalock. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the funeral home Tuesday night from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and other times at the residence.
