EDDIE ROBERTSON SR.

Eddie Robertson Sr., 91, formerly of 1505 1/2 Lockport St., a retired laborer, died May 5, 1995, in Beverly Manor of Portsmouth.

Mr. Robertson was born in Seaboard, N.C. He had retired from Giant Open Air Market after 20 years. He was the widower of Mildred V. Robertson and was a member of Third Baptist Church and a member of the Andrews Club of the church.

Survivors include five daughters, Yvette T. Rodgers, Celeste B. Robertson and Hannah Reid, all of Portsmouth and Almeter Clarke of Newport News and Maggie Audrenell Phillips of Chesapeake; a son, Eddie Robertson Jr. of Los Angeles, Calif.; 16 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and a cousin, Matilda Cobbs and nieces, nephews, other cousins, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, and friends.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Third Baptist Church by the Rev. Joe B. Fleming. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Viewing will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Corprew Funeral Home. The family will be at the funeral home from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday. The family will be at the residence of his daughter and son-in-law, Audrey and Robert Phillips, 3449 Maori Drive, Chesapeake, and will assemble there for the funeral service.
