Norma Elizabeth Jones, 59, of the 400 block of Middle Oaks Drive, died Tuesday, June 20, 1995, at her residence.
Miss Jones was born in old Norfolk County and was the daughter of the late William Norman and Elizabeth Hall Jones. She had taught in the Fairfax County School System for many years. She was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church in Chesapeake.
Survivors include her two aunts and uncle, Betty Lee Charnock of Virginia Beach, Harry and Virginia Hall Paxson, both of Chesapeake; and her cousins, Edwin B. Jones, Herman Hall, William Lee Fentress, Beverly J. Hall, Paige Custer, Bettie Grissom, Shirley Paxson, Donald Charnock, Bettie Howard, Kay Basnight, Martha Nolan, Linda Barrett, Donald Laney and Norma Sage.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens by the Rev. W. Roberts McIvor. The family will receive friends at Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge, from 7 to 8 p.m. today. There will be no public viewing. Memorial contributions may be made to Oak Grove United Methodist Church.
