JOHN L. FERGUSON JR.

John Leonard Ferguson Jr., 58, died Wednesday, June 28, 1995.

Born in Parkersburg, W.Va., on Feb. 23, 1937, he was the son of the late John Leonard and Goldie Lightner Ferguson.

He retired from the Air Force with the rank of Tech/6. Mr. Ferguson became a Federal Police officer after his service in the Air Force and was on active duty at the time of his death.

He is survived by his wife, Lois Ferguson of North Garden; his son, Robert Ferguson and his wife, Cathy, plus their three children, Matthew, Samuel, and Sara, all of Devils Elbow, Mo.; his daughter-in-law, Bonnie and her children, Jimmy Ferguson and Michael Ferguson; his step-daughter, Victoria Cassady of Jacksonville, Fla.; his stepson, Howard Barrett of Columbus, Ohio; and his daughter, Tiffany Barrett of Portsmouth, Va.; his sister, Eleanor Wingrove of Parkersburg, W.Va.; and many other family members, friends and law enforcement colleagues who will miss him greatly.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Ferguson was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Ferguson and by his son, James Ferguson.

At his request, memorial services will be private. Teague Funeral Service, Charlottesville, is in charge of the arrangements.
