Joseph Clement ``Clem'' Story Perkinson, 68, of the 5100 block of Bellamy Manor Drive, died July 15, 1995, in Virginia Beach.
Mr. Perkinson was born in Henderson, N.C. He retired from the casket business after 43 years, 22 years with Aurora Casket Co. He was former president of the Virginia Salesman Association; was an avid power boat racer, 1965 national champion FG outboard class; and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Mae Haynes Perkinson; a daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Dale Engebretsen of Virginia Beach; two sons and daughter-in-law, Bo and Kay Perkinson of Chesapeake and Joe Perkinson of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Pat Ross of Norfolk and Helen Poole of Decatur, Ga.; and grandchildren, Kim and Craig Engebretsen and Tracy and Amy Perkinson.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, by the Rev. Keith Davey, pastor emeritus, Colonial Baptist Church. Burial will be in Colonial Grove Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4 to 5:30 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
