ELBERT A. MOORE JR.

Mr. Elbert A. ``Junebug'' Moore, Jr., 72, of 204 Cale St., died Friday, July 21, 1995 in Pitt Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Bertie County, a member of the Republican Baptist Church and the Leary Gun Club. Mr. Moore retired from the U.S. Department of Agriculture as a soil conservationist. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and retired from the National Guard as a Master Sgt. with 20 years of service. He was also the Chairman of the Windsor Planning Board and a trustee of Republican Baptist Church and a Sunday School teacher.

A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. today (July 23, 1995) in Republican Baptist Church by the Rev. Harvey Jackson. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery.

Survivors include: wife: Sadie Webb Moore, Windsor, NC; sons: Joe Moore, Greenville, NC, Billy Moore, Wilson, NC; brother: Ned Moore, Kingsport, TN; nine grandchildren.

Memorial gifts may be made to the Republican Baptist Church, 202 Belmont St., Windsor, NC 27983.

Walker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
