Roberto Edgar ``Robbie'' Torres, 36, of the 300 block of Effingham St., died July 22, 1995, in Portsmouth Naval Hospital.
Mr. Torres was born in Fort Riley, Kansas. He was a member of Santa Rosa Catholic Church, Bayamon, Puerto Rico; Handicap Association and Spina Bifida Association. He was a medalist of many Special Olympic activities in Germany, North Carolina and Puerto Rico.
Survivors include his parents, Luz Marta Chamorro Torres and Pedro J. Torres Sr.; a sister, Martha M. Torres of Boston, Mass.; five brothers, Pedro J. Torres Jr. of Alexandria, Va., William C. Torres of Puerto Rico, Edwardo Torres of Okinawa, Japan, Carlos M. Torres of Knoxville, Tenn., and Rafael E. Torres of Atlanta, Ga.; and the nurses and friends of Ward 13C and 6B of Portsmouth Naval Hospital.
Services and interment will be held in Puerto Rico. Arrangements by Altmeyer Funeral Home.
