ANTONICK, LEADER OF ODU-NSU'S CRADOCK CENTER, ALSO WILL DIRECT BEACH FACILITY

James L. Antonick, director of the Tri-Cities Center operated in Cradock by Old Dominion and Norfolk State universities, will expand his duties to include direction of the ODU-NSU Virginia Beach Higher Education Center.

Antonick took over the second position when John B. Collander resigned from the Virginia Beach job to move to the Eastern Shore, where he will open an antique furniture store in Onancock.

The Tri-Cities Center opened in the former Cradock High School in 1992 with 27 students. Enrollment grew to 656 students by spring 1995. The Virginia Beach center, which opened in 1988, now has about 3,000 students.

Antonick first worked at ODU as director of Professional Experience Programs from 1977 to 1986. He then worked as director of grant programs at Beverly Manor in Virginia Beach and as a trade representative for the Virginia Department of Economic Development in Richmond before returning to ODU in 1992 to head the Tri-Cities Center. by CNB
