KERMIT G. THOMPSON

Kermit Glenn Thompson, 87, of the 4100 block of Belvedere Drive, died Aug. 21, 1995, in a Portsmouth hospital.

Mr. Thompson, the widower of Verna Mae Thompson, was a member of Portsmouth Christian Church. He was a retired carman for Seaboard-Coastline Railroad, where he worked for 42 years. He was also a member of America Fellowship Masonic Lodge (NU)148, and the Portsmouth Scottish Rite Bodies.

The funeral will be conducted at 7 p.m. today in Loving Funeral Home Chapel, by the Rev. Richard Laslo, with Masonic services. Burial will be in Pineview Cemetery, Rocky Mt., N.C., at 1 p.m. Thursday.
