WILLIE G. TAYLOR JR.

Willie G. Taylor Jr., 64, died Aug. 22, 1995, at his residence.

He was born in Tulare, Calif., and was a member of Landstown Community Church, Virginia Beach. He was retired from the United States Navy after 20 years. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars and a past commander of the American Legion, Post 327. He also served as past second commander of the American Legion and was a member of the Fleet Reserve.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret J. Taylor; three step-daughters, Jerri Falvey and Crystal Doak, both of Virginia Beach, and Deborah Mohs of Louisville, Kent.; mother, Lela Brines of Antlers, Okla.; two sisters, Billie Jean Smith and Jo Lofland, both of Garland, Texas; two brothers, Kenneth and Steven Donaldson, both of Dallas; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday in Landstown Community Church by Pastor Noah Stoltzfus. Burial is in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with Military Honors. The family will receive friends at Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road Chapel, today from 7:30 to 9 p.m. with a Fleet Reserve ritual at 7:30 p.m. in the Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to the Landstown Community Church, 3220 Monet Drive, Virginia Beach 23456.
