COURTS RESTRICTIONS

As of Sept. 1, visitors to Norfolk courts no longer will be allowed to carry cellular telephones, radios, tape recorders, beepers, knives, Mace or pepper gas into any of the buildings.

The ban covers Circuit Court, General District Court and Juvenile Court.

Citizens who carry such items when they report for jury duty will be told to remove them. Sheriff's Department personnel no longer will store such items for jurors. by CNB
