Doris Deneen Newsome, born Sept. 7, 1964, who lived at 2215 Vincent Ave., went home to be with our Lord on Aug. 25, 1995, in Louisburg, N.C.
Mrs. Newsome was a native of Livington, N.J., and was reared in Louisburg, N.C. At an early age she accepted Christ as her personal Saviour and became a member of Guilfield Baptist Church, Louisburg.
She leaves to mourn her, her husband, William E. Newsome Jr. of Norfolk; mother, Lucille Lewis of Louisburg; father, Jerome Ziegler of Newark, N.J.; stepfather, Robert Lewis of Louisburg; two brothers, Michael Wardrick of Raleigh, N.C., Crenell Ziegler of Paterson, N.J.; and one sister, Robin Lewis of Louisburg; one stepsister Alice Glover of New Bern, N.C.; stepson, Tremayne Newsome of Norfolk; mother-in-law, Hilda Newsome of Norfolk; sister-in-law, Hazel Newsome of Norfolk, and special friends Belinda Pivott of Norfolk, and Linda Blackwell of Louisburg, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
The funeral will be conducted by Rev. James Jones, Wednesday, Aug. 30, 1995, at 1 p.m. in the Guilfield Baptist Church, Louisburg. William Toney's Funeral Home Inc. is handling the arrangements.
