AVIS P. HANSEL

Avis Perry Hansel, 83, of the 2000 block of Lyndora Road, died Sept. 12, 1995, in Norfolk.

She was born in Cortland, N.Y., and was a retired Post Master for the Civil Service in Pineland, Fla. She was a Baptist.

She is survived by her husband, Clarence W. Hansel; two sons, Fred E. Hansel of Miami, Fla., and Robert J. Hansel of Virginia Beach; one sister, Meta Davies of Whittier, Calif.; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Colonial Grove Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to Crisis Pregnancy Center of Tidewater, 258 N. Withchduck Road, Virginia Beach, Va. 23462, and to Kempsville Presbyterian Church Missions Fund, 805 Kempsville Road, Virginia Beach, Va. 23464. Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, is handling arrangements.
